“Peaches ∞” is the final piece derived from an exploration of 50 images based on a necklace given to me by a friend a few years ago. The necklace is carved out of a peach pit and is very sentimental to me - I used to wear it everyday and thus it is representational of myself in a younger stage. I wanted the piece to come across as soft and feminine leading me to pursue my idea in the style of an art nouveau advertisement from the 1920s, looking at artists like Edward Mucha and more contemporary artists like Brett Manning.
